Holiday Sequins

For holiday parties sequins are my go to. They never let me down and are just fun and festive. Heck I just wear them when I know it's going to be a fun night. I've partied in this dress while celebrating my birthday and for a night out at the casinos in Lake Charles. I'm also the kind of girl that's just attracted to sparkly things so wearing an outfit like this just makes me happy. This is pretty much going to be my NYE outfit...I'll probably just add a fun party hat to it. Anyway I just wanted to share some quick outfit inspiration with you and show you what I plan on wearing. But seriously, sequins are made for good times and with New Years Eve just around the corner, what better way to ring in 2017 than decked out in sequins?

So get your best sequins on and be ready to hit the dance floor!

Cozied Up

Hey everyone, I'm just over here staying cozy in my blanket scarf. I actually bought this as a gift to give to someone else but I liked it so much that I kept it for myself. Um, best decision ever or at least for the past few days that it's been chilly out here. This thing keeps you warm and is the comfiest thing I've worn in a while.  I'm mean it's called a blanket scarf...how does it not get cozier than that? Speaking of gifts, me and Chris finished all of our Christmas shopping over the weekend and everything is already wrapped. What?! I know, I'm finally feeling like an adult getting things accomplished and stuff.

Hope you all have a good week. I have two days of work and then I'm officially on Christmas vacation...I can't wait.

xoxo Erica

Iridescent Nail Tutorial aka The Prettiest Nails

Hey friends, today I wanted to share this super easy nail tutorial with you. With holiday parties on everyones schedule these are perfect to fit right in with all the sparkle and shimmer around. I have the iridescent effect over this plum shade but I also tried it with just a bare nail and trust me it's just as pretty, so if you want to do it that way...go for it!

To get started here's what you need: iridescent wrap (you can find a roll at your local craft store), scissors, base polish, and clear polish. To make things easier cut the iridescent wrap into small pieces before you paint your nails. It will make things move along so much faster.

1. Paint nail (either with your color of choice or clear coat)

 2. Add pieces of the iridescent wrap to your nail. I used my finger to pick up the pieces but you could also use tweezers.

3. Once all the pieces are on your nail, gently press dow any edges of the iridescent wrap that are sticking up.

4. Repeat these steps for each nail and then apply two coats of clear polish.

And there you have it! Get ready to have some serious nail envy.
