DIY Pearl Jeans

Hey girlies :) For the past 6 months diy pearl jeans have been on my to do list and I finally did it this past weekend and knew I had to share here. Saturday mornings are my favorite for crafting. I wake up pretty early and Chris sleeps in so I usually have the mornings to myself and it works out perfect for doing all my little diy projects.

All you need is a pair of jeans, pearls ( I think two different sizes looks best), needle, & thread.

Decide on a general pattern of where the pearls will go. I went with one leg but you could do both sides...that would look cute too. Sew on pearls by going through the inside of the pant leg. Loop through the hole of the pearl twice to secure it down and then add another pearl. I spaced mine about an inch apart and was able to get about five pearls added before needing to put a new piece of thread on the needle. It really just depends on the length of thread you start out with. Keep adding pearls until you are happy with the amount you have. Just a tip, but I think it's good at some point to try the jeans on to make sure you are not placing the pearls to far on the inside of your thighs. This project is super simple and fast. It only took me about 30 minutes to finish...all you need is some good tunes to listen to while doing it. Currently I'm hooked to hearing Demi Lovato's Sorry Not Sorry song.

This is such an easy project to whip out on the weekend...let me know if you give it a try.

Lounging out at La Cantera Resort

My sisters and I had been talking about doing a girls trip with my mom for what seems like forever. Well, it finally happened this past weekend! We headed out to La Cantera Resort and Spa out in San Antonio's hill country...let me tell you, the views were beautiful. We really wanted to do a trip that was relaxing and a place where we could just wind down. This was definitely it. Most of my days there were spent by the pool with a tasty drink in a flamingo float and meals with the girls. We ate sooooo much good food  on this trip. I even tried my very first eggs benedict...it came with spicy chorizo. yum. It didn't disappoint. Also all of the views at the resort were pretty much what I needed to relax. I work in an office and it was such a nice change to spend almost half a week looking out into the hills. I spent most of my time at the edge of the pool just taking in the view...thinking, dreaming, and just enjoying the moment.

Boho Babe Vibes

Never did I ever think I would catch myself in a pair of pants like these. But you know what they say...never say never. I remember seeing these in the store and for some reason I really wanted to try them on. Something was just pulling me towards them. Of course they were hella long in the dressing room but I knew I had some platforms at home that would be perfect to pair with them. I am somewhere between 5 foot and 5'1 but I alway lie and tell people that I am 5'1 lol Me and Chris went out for lunch this day and wearing these with my 5 inch platforms made me feel like I had legs for days. I loved every minute of it.

Peace out xo Erica
