This year has been colder than usual, so unlike my normal self I've been wearing jeans/leggings lately. When I do get the chance to sneak in a skirt, I've been layering tights over a pair of leggings to stay warm. These gold studded ones are my current favorite. Despite the cold weather, getting dressed in the morning has been fun. I've just been throwing things together without really thinking about it. This outfit consists of sequins, studs, and leopard shoes...mixing things together has kind of been my thing lately.

Keep Calm and Sparkle On

I always love that this time of the year stores are overflowing with sequins. I'm attracted to anything and everything that has the slightest hint of sparkle to it so when we went to Forever 21 a few days before new years eve, I was like a kid in a candy store. It was something about the midnight blue that I was instantly drawn to and couldn't pass up on bringing them home with me. This outfit was a little pre-nye look I wore before changing into my actual nye outfit...I always like to wear something with a bit of a bang. Sequins are the way to go.

Monday Morning Comes So Fast

 This weekend was all a bit of a whirlwind. Friday was spent traveling 4 hours over and 4 hours back to see my brother-in-law retire from the military. Although it was a long day of driving, it was completely worth it to be there supporting his accomplishment and honoring him for the 22 years of service he has given to our country. My sister asked me to photos while we were there, which was fun because it's been awhile since I've been behind the camera. I guess I was so busy taking photos of everyone else that I never managed to get a pic of what I was wearing that day. This outfit is actually from Saturday, something I wore while running errands with Chris all day. Oh another highlight of the weekend was that yesterday Chris and I finally got caught up on the Walking Dead! Do any of you watch the show? How was your weekend?
