DIY // Collage Heart Dish

I have a bad habit of taking my accessories off anywhere, the car, the desk, the bedside table, my purse...you name it. I've been known to lose jewelry quite often. I have this jewelry display I use at home but I decided I needed a "place" for my things at Chris' house. I used to love making collages from magazines and wanted to apply that look to the jewelry dish. At first I was going to go with a few images from my pinterest but with Valentine's Day around the corner, I thought a collage based around love would be fun.
Supplies: Heart Ceramic, Glitter, Brush, Scissors, Triple Thick Glaze, Glue, & Images
Start by spreading glue to ceramic, sprinkle with glitter, and shake off.
While the glitter dries, cut up images into shapes or add writing to personalize.
Think of the collage layout you want, glue down to dried glitter, and then spread triple thick glaze.
 Let dry and you're done!

**easy alternative to simplify this diy**
Trace heart onto cardstock. Then build your collage onto the cardstock. Glue the cardstock down to the dish and cover with triple thick glaze.

DIY//Sequin Bikini Top

Last year when working retail I fell in love with a bikini that was in our store. It was neon green with silver sequins...only one problem. Yup, the price for it was enough to shatter my hopes of ever buying it and I never did. I knew it would be simple enough to recreate and what do you know, it really is. If you follow me on instagram, you probably already know that I've working on getting fit and eating healthy. My mind is set to get myself into an itty bitty bikin without wearing a cover up. The next time I go to the beach I'll be wearing this one for sure.
Supplies: Bikini Top, Sequin Trim, Glue Gun**
*I used a glue gun just for a quick makeover. If you decide to use one too I would hand wash and hang dry*
*Using fabric glue would be better. I've used it before and it holds up really well*
*And of course sewing the trim on with a needle & thread would be best*
1. Cut your sequin trim.
I used one 5 inch strip, two 4 inch strips, and two 3 inch strips for each side.
2. Glue or sew on.

DIY//Floral Sunnies

The other day I found these sunglasses in an old purse of mine. I hadn't worn them in what felt like forever and wanted to give them a quick cute update. I've always liked the idea of being able to embellish to give something an instant makeover. Love the way these turned out!
Supplies: Sunglasses, Glue Gun (or jewelry glue), cabochons...find some here
 1. Decide on an arrangement
2. Glue on
