Optical Illusion

Cardigan: Thrifted F21, Tank: Thrifted F21, Shorts: Thrifted Express, Heels: Kimchi Blue, Clutch: Jenny Packham
I'm a huge skirts kind of girl so when I found these shorts that had the same kind of flare as a skirt, I was sold. I had to have them and I love that I don't have to worry about the wind blowing anything up...it's been a bit windy the last few days lol. In fact, I almost had a Marilyn Monroe moment walking out of work yesterday when I wore a flowy skirt. I can see these shorts being used a lot during the coming season...I can't wait to pair them with tights and boots in the fall.

What do y'all have planned for the weekend? I'll be celebrating birthdays and doing some cake testing...yum cake. Can't wait!!

Into the Blue

Blouse: Target, Skirt: F21, Wedges: Thrifted Rocket Dog
Just a simple outfit. Blue on blue, mixed of different shades and texture. I didn't feel like dressing it up with heels so I went with summer wedges. Wearing a skirt like this can be dangerous in the wind. Dangerous but fun. I love the way it flows in the wind. This was a movie date outfit. To be quite honest   I've been having a lot of movie date outfits lately. Three in the past week to be exact.

The Sheer Details

Blouse: Gifted, Skirt: Thrifted, Necklace: F21, Heels: L.A.M.B.
I hope everyone had a great weekend. Mine was spent celebrating two birthdays and father's day...lots and lots of good food and cake! This was an outfit from over the weekend I wore to a pizza and movie date. Me and Chris went to go watch  Man of Steel, or should I say Chris saw it?? We went to a late showing and I fell asleep!! Total fail. I can say that the parts of the movie I did see, I liked.  I've worn this blouse a few times but always with a camisole underneath. I decided this time to try it with showing off the sheer details and paired it with a skirt that has a shimmer to it...you know, just to feel more in my natural element.
